R.O.T. stands for “Realm of Tears” video game / game mod / 20mn

After a difficult evening, Rubber, an escort addicted to chemsex, seeks to spend the night in the compassionate embrace of one of the clients of the R.O.T. Sauna. Despite the warnings of a well-intentioned manager, Rubber
will make his way through the acid fumes and a bio-mutant population whose virile assaults will challenge his relationship to communal sense.

Hacking DOOM II makes a lot of sense when it comes to talking about both the romanticism and the violence that can creep into the lives of individuals in a sexual community. Its body horror universe over a 20-minute experience amplifies the anxiety caused by this dichotomy between expectations and outcomes, the crude way of expressing complex desires.

R.O.T. Stands for Realm of Tears experiments with a punk approach to game design and questions the legitimacy of an artwork based on another, just as Rubber questions his identity which he believes is modeled after that of a said uniform community.
